What does it cost?

The price per lesson runs from 485 kr. (one-to-one for 45 minutes) to 1,200 kr. depending on the type of the course, length, and number of participants.

How much notice do I need to give if I have to cancel?

You can reschedule your lesson anytime up to 24 hours before your appointment.  You can notify your instructor directly or the language consultant. The cancelled lesson will be made up for by extending the course or by rescheduling the lesson for another date. If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the class, the lesson will not be made up.

Who is the teacher?

Studieskolen Business has a stable corps of teachers. Most of them have a university degree in either a foreign language or in their native language, or they have some type of relevant background in e.g.  journalism or communication.

As for the Danish teachers, many of them have an education in Danish as a Second Language.
As a rule of thumb, the teachers instruct in their native language. Sometimes we use qualified Danes to teach some of the other foreign languages, especially for the lower levels.

What instruction materials are used?

The material used depends on the level and specific needs. We can use your own material, e.g. reports, emails and presentations from your job.
We have a Learning Management System called Moodle. Moodle is a joint domain for instructors and students where you can find, e.g. course descriptions, instruction materials and links to digital resources.

Where do the classes take place?

We can conduct classes at our premises on Borgergade or out in your company if you wish. If the company is located outside of Copenhagen, the official transport rate (3,82 kr/km) will be charged. We can also teach via Skype.

When are the classes?

The classes can be at a set time every week or you can get a more flexible schedule in which you schedule your meetings from one week to the next. You can always change your appointment if you give a minimum 24 hour notice.

You can decide the time for your class between 8:00-21:00 provided there is an available teacher for those times.

Can I get a refund?

You cannot get a refund for the lessons you have purchased, but you can postpone the lessons if necessary. All of the lessons must be completed within a year.

What if there isn’t a good rapport between me and the teacher?

You and your teacher will discuss the course on an ongoing basis. Should the course not live up to your expectations or should there not be a good rapport between you and your teacher, you will be given another instructor.
