B2 English Conversation & Writing - ONLINE
Improve your speaking and writing
On this online course, you will learn to discuss more complex issues and also write about them. The topics will be selected according to your and the other students' needs and interests, but we usually talk about some of the following topics: working life, the role of technology, planning holidays, living abroad, school days and survival.
The course includes three written assignments, for example, a discursive essay, a film review, and a formal or informal email. Your teacher will give you extensive feedback on your writing including structure, grammar, spelling and style. Additional homework will be focused on helping you learn more words so that you can broaden your vocabulary.
Some lessons will be based on role-plays, where you will work together in groups to solve a particular task. These fun lessons have been developed by the teachers to get you to talk together as much as possible.
This is not a grammar course, but grammatical mistakes can prevent you from holding a fluent and accurate conversation. So your teacher will spend some time explaining any grammar mistakes that you and your fellow students make.
Preparation time: 2-3 hours including the written assignments.
You do not need to buy a book for the course. All the material will be selected according to your and the other students' needs and is included in the price.
You take part in the class via the video conferencing program, Zoom. Your teacher will send you a link with a secure code to the class meeting room. You and your fellow students will meet online every morning for 2 weeks. In addition, you will receive access to Studieskolen's online course platform, Moodle.
