C1 Advanced Conversation for Fluency - ONLINE
Speak English fluently
This course is for you if you are already at an advanced but would like to progress even further by broadening your vocabulary and focusing on correct pronunciation. Perhaps you have not used your English for some time and you need to boost your confidence or brush up your skills.
We will discuss topics in much more depth than at the previous levels. For example, instead of just talking about what sort of art we like, we might discuss how you decide whether something is art, and who makes the decision.
The topics will be selected according to what you and the other students would like to talk about, but we usually discuss some of the following subjects: art, drugs and society, culture shock and consumerism.
As well as learning many new words on the course, there will also be a focus on pronunciation, such as syllables and word stress.
This is not a grammar course, but your teacher will explain any grammatical mistakes you make as they can prevent you from holding a fluent and accurate conversation. Extra material focused on improving your grammar can be provided for self-study if necessary.
Some lessons will be based on role-plays, where you will work together in groups to solve a particular task. These fun lessons have been developed by the teachers to get you to talk together as much as possible.
Preparation time: approx. 1-2 hours.
You do not need to buy a book for this course. Your teacher will select suitable material, which is included in the price.
You take part in the class via the video conferencing program, Zoom. Your teacher will send you a link with a secure code to the class meeting room. You and your fellow students will meet online every morning for two weeks. In addition, you will receive access to Studieskolen's online course platform, Moodle.
