Susann Mirshiir

We have asked our teachers to recommend a place and perhaps a book. This is what Susann recommends.

Do you have a favourite place outside of Copenhagen?
”Copenhagen is my seventh city in 50 years, and I haven’t lived here very long. So my recommendation is for a town outside of Copenhagen, and if you enjoy beautiful nature, water and vibrant animal life, then a visit to Frederiksborg Slotshave in Hillerød is worth the trip – especially in the spring when geese gather in large gaggles and hatch little goslings, and the lake is busy with ducklings and baby swans. It’s the best time of the year.”

What is your favourite book?
”’Jordens søjler’ (’The Pillars of the Earth’) by Ken Follett. I have been a history teacher myself, and it’s just wonderful for me to read a book that so skilfully takes the reader on a journey that is a good mixture of historical facts and fiction. I was hooked from the first sentence and through to the final words. Thankfully, Ken Follett has written several historial novels, so if you get smitten with his writing style, you have more books to enjoy.”
