"My favourite place in Copenhagen is probably Kastellet – the pentagonal fortress that is an emerald pearl in the middle of the city, and from where you can look out across Copenhagen harbour and Øresund."

"I am very fond of Kim Larsen, who died in 2018 – one of the greatest musicians of his generation, and the writer of many of our most known and beloved songs. His music is excellent for learning Danish."

"There are many writers for me – but I particularly love Dan Turell and his quirky language and relaxed tolerance towards existence."
