Improve your spoken fluency and grammar
On this course, you will improve your spoken fluency and the accuracy of your grammar. You will also broaden your vocabulary so that you will not have to search for the right words. After the course, you will be able to discuss topics that you found difficult to talk about previously.

The topics will be selected depending on the needs and interests of the students, but we usually focus on some of the following topics: cooking, recycling, festivals, parties, music, health, visiting the doctor and buying things for a new home.

We will study some more challenging grammar like the past perfect, prepositions and possession, but the main focus will be on conversation and speaking. Improving your grammar means that you will be able to communicate more precisely.

There will not be any written exercises on the course, but you will write when you take notes or when you are preparing for a specific task.

Preparation time: 1-2 hours.

You do not need to buy a book for the course. All the material will be selected according to your and the other students' needs and is included in the price.

Ben Galvin

Ben is a TESOL qualified teacher with a strong business background gained in the telecoms and insurance industries. He is a qualified telecoms engineer and has worked on some interesting and unusual projects in his telecoms career. Ben is from West Yorkshire in the north of England and is a keen hiker. Living so close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park gave him the chance to walk in some of England’s most beautiful countryside.

Ben moved to Denmark and began teaching a year ago and he really enjoys watching his students develop their English skills and seeing their confidence grow. He loves meeting people from all over the world and learning about different cultures.

Ben recommends:
Food & drink: a homemade steak and ale pie and a pint of Black Sheep bitter in a cosy Dales pub, especially good after a long day’s hiking!
Places to visit: The beautiful and historic city of York, the modern and vibrant city of Leeds and the idyllic village of Kettlewell.
Learning tips: Watch English television and listen to English radio, it’s a great way to learn from native speakers. Never be afraid to speak, it doesn’t matter if you make mistakes.
