"There are some places around Copenhagen that I really appreciate when I need a break from traffic and noise. One of them is Kongelundsfortet, located in the southern part of Amager and also part of "Amarminoen", the Amager Trail. It may not be the world's largest or most impressive fort, but the area surrounding it is truly beautiful. It's vast and open, and nature has been allowed to shape itself on its own terms.
I live in Østerbro, and I think the swimming spots are one of the best things about my neighbourhood.
Besides Nordhavn and Svanemøllen, there is also a really good bathing jetty in Skovshoved Harbour, a bit further up along Strandvejen. The water by the jetty is quite deep, and there is plenty of space for doing cannonballs if that’s what you are into. It’s also a lovely bike ride along the coast to get there - especially in summer, of course."
