At Studieskolen, we have both courses in Greenlandic for beginners, for intermediates and for experienced students who have been learning Greenlandic for several years.

Many of the course participants were born in Greenland and moved to Denmark at a young age. They need to refresh the language, and this applies to both the younger and the older. Some course participants have family in Greenland. Several are in relationships with people of Greenlandic background. There are also always some who have a working relationship with Greenland.

And then there are always a number of course participants who have a purely linguistic interest in the Greenlandic language.

What they all have in common is that they want to increase their linguistic understanding and become good at communicating independently in Greenlandic.

In the lessons, our teacher focuses heavily on speaking and listening exercises, so that you become good at both saying something yourself and understanding Greenlandic. But we also teach grammar to increase understanding of the rules and structures of the language.

You can learn Greenlandic on regular courses in class, and you can choose to learn Greenlandic on our online courses.

In our Greenlandic classes, you need to be able to speak and understand Danish, as instructions are given in Danish.
