Friday 2 August - Danish architecture and visit to Københavns Bymuseum

The iconic Sydney Opera House, designed by Jørn Utzon, made Danish architecture famous world-wide. Since then, Danish architects have gained further international recognition with architects such as Bjarke Ingels and Jan Gehl. Recent Danish architecture focuses on climate-friendliness and ‘the life between buildings’ – something that has become a hallmark of city planning in Copenhagen and around the world. You’ll get an insight into the ideas and solutions that motivate major Danish architects, a different perspective on how architecture has shaped the Danish capital and inspiration to (re-)discover the city.

After the talk, we visit the Museum of Copenhagen together to see more of what you have heard about.

The talk is in English.
