"If you venture outside of Copenhagen, I would like to recommend Hindsgavl Castle in Middelfart. The current building was constructed in 1784, but Hindsgavl has played an important role in Danish history since the 1200s. Walk the same paths as Hans Christian Andersen and feel the breeze of nature and history. If you're lucky, you may also see or hear the porpoises in Fænøsund."
Who’s your favourite Danish poet?
"Poetry may not be the first thing that comes to mind when learning a new language, but I actually used Polish poems as a tool when I was learning Polish. I would like to recommend two Danish poets, Klaus Rifbjerg and Peter Laugesen. Some of their poems may seem challenging, while others are simple, flirting with the banal."
