Writing is often the part of the exam that concerns teachers most. Are you unsure how to prepare your students for the C1 writing part? The C1 writing exam requires a higher level of critical thinking for your students than the B2 exam does. Students need to have a wider range of vocabulary, and their grammatical structures should be used more naturally. Students are also expected to write more at this level. This private one-to-one online course gives you expert, focused guidance tailored entirely to you and your classroom situation. We work at your pace, zoom in on your specific concerns, and fit the session around your school timetable. You will receive three hours of targeted, personal support.
We start by going through the exam criteria for writing, so you know exactly what Cambridge expects. We look at how to teach essay writing and your trainer shares sample lesson plans you can adapt for your own classes. We then work through Part 2 of the exam and explore the different genres students need to master. We finish with a hands-on marking exercise – and because this is one-to-one, your trainer gives you detailed, personal feedback on your marking and answers the questions you have.
After completing the course, you will be able to:
- Know the common mistakes students make in writing and how to help them avoid these
- Have creative, practical solutions to boost your students' writing performance – however little time you have
- Feel confident assessing and marking writing to Cambridge standards
- Have sample writing lesson plans adapted to your own teaching context
Format
One session of 3 hours, scheduled to suit you. The session are held online via Teams, so you can join from wherever is convenient. The break can be flexible – if a topic needs more time, we keep going and take the break later. Once enrolled, your trainer will make contact with you to plan the sessions.
Course fee
The course fee is DKK 2,295 and includes:

- You get access to our online learning platform Moodle, where you find all course materials and the Teams link.
