Studieskolen, Borgergade 12, lokale 105

Talk and networking event for IT professionals in Denmark
Are you an IT professional trying to find your place in the Danish job market? Then join us for an inspiring afternoon at Studieskolen, where you will hear a personal success story and meet others who share your background and ambitions.

We will be joined by Areg Manvelyan from Armenia, who will share his journey from newcomer to fully employed in the Danish IT industry - and not just anywhere, but at the famous LEGO. Areg will speak openly about the challenges he faced, how he broke into the industry, and the strategies and networks that helped him along the way.

You will also gain insight into the differences between Danish and international IT sectors, and most importantly: practical advice on how to get your foot in the door at Danish IT companies - even if your network and Danish language skills are still a work in progress.

After the talk, there will be time for you and the other participants to network and connect. Studieskolen has many students with IT backgrounds, so this event is a great opportunity to exchange experiences, make new connections and find inspiration - both professionally and personally.

The event will be held in English, and all Studieskolen?s Danish language students with an interest in the IT sector are warmly welcome, regardless of your current language level.

It is free, but you have to sign up in advance.

It takes place:
Friday 3 October 2025 from 16:30 to 18:00
Studieskolen, Borgergade 12, room 105

Charlotte recommends:
Do you have a favourite place outside of Copenhagen?
"Roskilde is a fantastic city! It’s one of the oldest cities in Denmark and contains a lot of cultural history. It’s also located next to Roskilde Fjord, which is known for its beautiful paths and wildlife. All while being only a 25-minute train ride away from Copenhagen.
For those interested in history, there is the Cathedral and the Viking Ship Museum by the harbour. But for those interested in culture, I recommend a visit to Musicon, which is an area full of container homes, graffiti and unique shops. Here you might find your next recycled gem in the shop Om-klædning. There’s also the magnificent rock museum RAGNAROCK, which is shaped like a gigantic electric guitar."
