Learn more about Danish architecture and visit the Museum of CopenhagenThe iconic Sydney Opera House, designed by Jørn Utzon, made Danish architecture famous worldwide. Since then, Danish architects have gained further international recognition with architects such as Bjarke Ingels and Jan Gehl.
Recent Danish architecture focuses on climate-friendliness and 'the life between buildings' - something that has become a hallmark of city planning in Copenhagen and around the world.
Our teacher Oscar Otto Sanz will give a talk guiding you through some of the highlights of modern Danish architecture. You'll get insights into the ideas and solutions that motivate major Danish architects, a different perspective on how architecture has shaped the Danish capital and inspiration to (re-)discover the city.
After the talk, we will visit the Museum of Copenhagen together to see examples of what you have heard about.
Time and place:
Friday 30 July 2026 from 13.00 to 15.30
We will start at Studieskolen, Borgergade 12, Room 122
We will end at the Museum of Copenhagen, Stormgade 18
