Become a volunteer in Copenhagen – meet new people, practise your Danish and make a difference. Join a presentation or take part in our new care home project.
Would you like to get to know Copenhagen better, meet new people and at the same time make a difference?
Then volunteering is a perfect opportunity.
Being a volunteer is not only about helping others - it is also a unique chance for you to:
Studieskolen is working with the Volunteer Centre Vesterbro, Kgs. Enghave and Valby on volunteering opportunities - and you can join! This autumn we have two projects:
We are starting a new project where a group of volunteers will visit Verdishave care home together every Friday afternoon.
We will go for walks, bike rides, hold small cultural conversation cafés and do creative activities with the residents.
Information meeting: 24 October
Period: 31 October – 19 December (every Friday afternoon)
The good thing about group volunteering is that it is flexible - volunteers can take turns to participate. If you have joined at least three times, you will receive a diploma as proof of your contribution.
Would you like to hear more about what it means to be a volunteer, and what opportunities there are in Copenhagen?
Then join the presentation at Studieskolen on Wednesday 5 November, 12:15 - 13:15.
The Volunteer Centre Vesterbro, Kgs. Enghave and Valby will talk about the benefits of volunteering and how you can get started yourself.
Volunteering is a win-win situation: you give your time, but you get even more in return. You can practise your language in real-life situations, build connections in Denmark, experience the joy of doing something meaningful for others and gain new perspectives and experiences.
Come and join us – it’s fun, rewarding and opens the door to new opportunities in Copenhagen!
