Studieskolen’s Danish students are happy

June 26, 2025

We have now finished processing the results of our latest satisfaction survey among our Danish language students. It shows that our students are happy, with 89% responding that they were ‘highly satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with their Danish education at Studieskolen.

Effective teaching and ‘the best language school’

Twice a year, we ask our Danish language students what they think about their lessons. We ask a wide range of questions to gain a better understanding of what it’s really like to learn Danish with us. We want to see what we’re doing well and where there’s room for improvement.

The results are very positive. We put a lot of effort into providing high-quality and effective teaching – and it’s clearly appreciated.

89% responded that they were ‘highly satisfied’ or ‘satisfied’ with their lessons, while 85% said the teaching met their expectations for learning Danish either ‘to a high extent’ or ‘to some extent’.

Many also wrote additional comments in response to the questions. Among these were remarks describing Studieskolen as ‘an excellent school’ – even ‘the best language school’.

Several students noted that they quickly improve their Danish at Studieskolen – perhaps in contrast to previous experiences or when comparing themselves to friends or colleagues learning Danish in other ways.

A number of students also highlighted that it’s not ‘just’ Danish they are learning. Our lessons have also helped them gain more confidence in navigating Danish society and made them feel better integrated.

Special praise for our teachers

A large proportion of those who responded to the survey praised our teachers. Several said that their teacher at Studieskolen is the best language teacher they’ve ever had.

Our teachers are also celebrated for being empathetic, committed, motivating, skilled – and simply kind.

Many pointed out that the lessons are fun while still focused on learning, and many credited their teacher as a major reason why they’ve become so proficient in Danish.

Finally, a number of students wrote that they simply look forward to coming to Studieskolen and taking part in the lessons.

‘Excellent’ and relevant materials – and some suggestions for improvement

Our own teaching material, Danish to Go, also received a lot of positive feedback.

Danish to Go – which includes physical books as well as an online platform where students can study before and after lessons – was described as ‘excellent’, ‘easy to use’ and ‘full of great exercises’.

We also use other teaching materials on some courses, and our students like all of it. Overall, nearly 88% said they ‘highly agree’ or ‘agree’ that the teaching materials are good.

Of course, we also received some critical feedback and various suggestions for how both the teaching and materials could be improved. We are working to implement the most frequently requested changes.

Confirming our strong reputation

A large number of those who took part in the survey said they had been recommended Studieskolen by others or had otherwise heard good things about us. And several mentioned that they have now recommended us to others themselves.

We’re pleased that the vast majority of our students enjoy studying here – and that, in doing so, they help confirm the strong reputation we already have.

We have also carried out a satisfaction survey among our private Danish students – those who are not eligible for free Danish Education and therefore pay for their courses themselves. The results of this survey were equally positive.

At Studieskolen, we are proud that both our private students and those enrolled in the official Danish Education programme are so happy to learn Danish with us.
