How to make use of your network and LinkedIn in your job hunt

A lot of people land a job in Denmark because they have strong network. On this course, you learn to build a strong network through LinkedIn that you can use when looking for work.

Perhaps you have experienced many Danes getting a job because someone in their network helps them out. And perhaps you’re thinking that you don’t have a network in Denmark at all and that this option is closed to you. But you CAN use your network – and on this course, you’ll learn how.
You probably already have a profile on LinkedIn, and perhaps you even have a lot of connections and feel that you have LinkedIn covered.
However, you can learn to be more proactive in your use of LinkedIn, enabling recruiters to find you instead of you looking for jobs. You can also learn to expand your network on LinkedIn using people that can be good to know when looking for work.

If you want to use LinkedIn actively to help you find a job, then this course is for you.

What do you learn on this course?

You learn to identify everyone in your network – even those you don’t know yet.

You learn how to contact people in your network and get useful knowledge or information that you can use in your job search, for example if you need to call the organisation behind a job advertisement. It could also happen that you want to know more about a business or a specific job that a person in your network has. This is particularly useful if you have just graduated or if you are considering moving to a different field.
On this course, you get exercises that help you to identify people in your network and know how to contact them with a clear goal in mind.

LinkedIn is your digital beacon, your place to tell the world what you’re capable of, what you want to do and who you are. In other words, it makes you an interesting candidate for job opportunities, and if you have a good LinkedIn profile, chances are greater that you will be contacted by organisations looking to hire. We practise optimising your LinkedIn profile in a way that makes you come across as interesting and relevant to employers.

You also get insights into optimising your profile so that it matches concrete job advertisements on LinkedIn.
