We emphasise offering the best teaching in Danish language and culture, engaging study materials, satisfied students, a variety of events, modern facilities - and much more.
Studieskolen's Danish education courses are for those of you entitled to free Danish education.
If you're new to Denmark, finding your footing can be challenging. There are many new things, and much of it probably works differently from your home country or other countries you've lived in.
At Studieskolen, we do everything we can to help you settle well in Denmark.
First and foremost, we help by teaching you Danish! We offer Danish Education 1, 2 and 3, and you'll be placed in the Danish education level that suits you best. At Studieskolen, you'll learn to speak, understand, read and write Danish, regardless of the Danish Education level you attend. In a satisfaction survey from October 2023, 80% of students said they are learning Danish to better integrate into Danish society - we're here to help with that!
You'll also gain insights into the Danish job market and Danish culture and society. We organise workshops and courses to help you if, for example, you need to learn how to write a good CV.
Classes take place in Danish
We primarily have classroom teaching where you learn all language disciplines, i.e. understanding, speaking, reading and writing. In the beginning, we focus a lot on speaking and listening. Later, we shift more towards written skills. Throughout, we place great emphasis on ensuring you have good and correct pronunciation.
Classes are in Danish, but our teachers use English as a supporting language to explain things where needed.
Our Study Centre is there for you
Our Study Centre is a free service available to everyone taking Danish Education at Studieskolen.

We strive to keep a class at the same address throughout its run, but occasionally we may need to move it to another address. Read more about Studieskolen's teaching locations here.

Teaching materials
Many of the materials we use are developed by Studieskolen's own teachers for our students. For example, on Danish Education 3 we use the Danish to Go system, consisting of textbooks and a comprehensive site with audio, video, exercises and resources.

Outside of the classroom
When you follow Danish education at Studieskolen, you become very proficient in the Danish language. However, there are many other aspects to thriving in Denmark. That's why we invite you to a variety of events where you can get to know both Danes and foreigners, and you can build your own network. We organise lectures, conversation cafes, excursions to places like Dyrehaven or around Copenhagen, museum visits and much more. You can find our current events here.
