Three Danish Education programmes

If you cannot read or write in your native language, or if you have not yet mastered a European writing system, then this programme is for you.

Danish Education 1 finishes with Prøve i Dansk 1, which is at A2 level for writing and B1 level for speaking.

Modules
Danish Education 1 consists of 6 modules.
After each level, you must pass a module test before you can move on to the next level. You will be tested in four disciplines: reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written presentation and oral presentation.

Goal
You learn to write and read the Latin alphabet and learn to understand the connection between sound and text.
You also learn to understand and speak Danish.

In Danish Education 2 (DU2) classes, your teacher speaks a lot of Danish right from the start, and your teaching materials are in Danish. There is an intuitive approach to learning Danish and a strong focus on communication, but you will also regularly be tested on your listening, reading and writing skills.

It is important that you spend 3-5 hours a week on homework and that you speak Danish outside of your classes.

Danish Education 2 finishes with Prøve i Dansk 2, which is at B1 level for writing and B1+ level for speaking.

Before you start, you will go through a short interview that will give you an individual evaluation of which course will be the most beneficial to you.

On modules 1 and 2, our focus is on you learning to speak and understand Danish.
From module 3 onwards, we focus on nuancing your Danish – in writing as well as when you speak.

In Danish Education 3 (DU3) classes, you learn Danish with a strong focus on grammar. For this reason, it is important that you have a systematic knowledge of grammar and are used to learning new reading material fast and without assistance.

A DU3 course requires 4-6 hours of homework a week on our online platforms.

You will be tested in listening, reading, writing and oral communication, and it is important that you show initiative in speaking Danish outside of class.

The teaching material on the first two modules is in English – so it is important that you speak English at a high level (minimum B1).

Module 5 of Danish Education 3 finishes with Prøve i Dansk 3 at B2 level, and module 6 finishes with Studieprøven at C1 level.
