Anna Stigsgaard

We have asked our teachers if they can recommend a place or an activity in or outside of Copenhagen. Here you can see what Anna recommends.

Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
"I love walking on Amager Fælled in all seasons: a summer’s day, a winter morning, at dusk. The sky trembles in a very special way out there. And you can find blackberries, rose hips, sea buckthorn and elderflowers, each in their season. I love that such a wild place exists so close to the city.
If I’m in the centre of Copenhagen, I sit with a coffee and a book at BRØG Litteraturbar – you can enjoy a coffee and then explore the bookshop, which has the best selection of books in town."

Do you have an idea for what to do with children?
"If, like me, you have small children, Cinemateket’s ‘Børnebiffen’ is brilliant – they show quality short films on Saturday and Sunday mornings, which fits perfectly with a picnic lunch in Kongens Have. And keep an eye on the libraries’ children's events: in the past month, we have decorated lanterns, sown seeds, listened to stories and attended a communal dinner at the library in Frederiksberg, where we live."
