Which is better – the city or the countryside?
“I am from Copenhagen, but my family and I lived for several years on a farm on the island of Møn, deep in the countryside. Now we are living in Copenhagen again. It is a fantastic city, but I would recommend that anyone who wants to get to know Denmark also takes trips out into the countryside. Experience the nature and the culture there – it is incredibly beautiful and inspiring.”
Can you recommend any good cultural experiences in Copenhagen?
“If you ask me to recommend a cultural experience in Copenhagen, it would probably be the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, which takes place every July. The festival also has many excellent free concerts.”
How do you spend your own free time?
“There are many things that interest me – playing music, building and renovating, growing vegetables, reading – but above all, people. People are probably what has always fascinated me the most. People and languages. The two are closely connected, because in a way, as human beings, we are the sum of all the words we know. But we are constantly learning new words, and through that, we continue to grow and develop. I find that fascinating.”
