Charlotte Kehlet

We asked our teachers if they could recommend, for example, a place or effective ways to learn Danish. Here, you can see what Charlotte recommends.

What do you love most about Copenhagen?
"One thing I love here in Denmark is the hiking trails accessible by the S-train. Around Copenhagen, there are countless trails, like those along Mølleåen, by Furesøen, around Lyngby Sø, in Gribskov, and so on. Download TOPO GPS and find your own routes.
And Copenhagen is just a great city to hang out in."

Do you have a tip for our students learning Danish?
"When you're learning Danish, focus on pronunciation and building a strong vocabulary. Listen, read, and make some good Danish friends.
Denmark is a country of associations, so if you want to meet Danes, join a club. You’ll find all kinds of associations online, like Dansk Vandrelaug (The Danish Hiking Association), sports clubs, music associations. No interest is too small for a club, and everyone is welcome."
