Jessie Leigh Nielsen

We have asked our teachers if they can recommend a place or an activity in or outside Copenhagen. Here you can see what Jessie recommends.

Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
"I can warmly recommend the old Sydhavnen area, meaning the neighbourhood around Mozarts Plads. Despite the wine bar and the new metro station, it still has a cosy village atmosphere, especially on weekend mornings. Grab a coffee and a toasted cheese sandwich at Rallys, take a walk past Karens Minde Kulturhus (and Karens Minde Aksen – a new green urban space), and then head towards Sydhavnstippen, where you can say hello to an alpaca, pet a sheep (though perhaps not the alpacas!) and enjoy the fresh air. Afterwards, you can extend your walk to Valbyparken, which offers a nature playground, a rose garden and even a beach."
