Join our introductory Danish course
- How do you order a cup of coffee in Danish?
- How do you buy a train ticket in Copenhagen?
- How do you greet your Danish colleagues during your internship?
- And what is Danish “hygge” all about?
You and your fellow students at KP will study Danish together. This gives you an opportunity to build international friendships while learning a bit of Danish and being introduced to Danish culture.
This course helps you benefit as much as possible from your semester in Copenhagen.
You'll learn basic Danish greetings, how to introduce yourself, and you'll practise basic everyday conversation in Danish.
You'll also gain insight into workplace culture and Danish culture in general.
All of this will be very useful during your internship at a school, a day care centre, or at a hospital.
You will obtain a Danish level corresponding to level A1 (according to CEFR, The European Framework of Reference).

Wednesdays from 16:30 to 18:35
Starts Wednesday 28 August - ends Wednesday 11 December
Requirements
- You must be eligible for free Danish Education DU (read about who is eligible for Danish Education)
- You must apply for the cpr-number and reach out to your local municipality
- You must attend at least 85% of the classes and participate actively
- You should expect a couple of hours of homework/ self-study per week
- You have to attend the module test on 11 December

Information meeting
In order to sign up for the Danish course, it is mandatory to attend an information meeting.
It takes place:

at Campus Carlsberg
It is not possible to join the course without attending the information meeting!
At the meeting, you will get information about the Danish course and other relevant issues. We will also talk to you to make sure that you are eligible for free Danish Education.
