Language Assessment Tests for CBS students

  • Are you a student at CBS?
  • Are you planning on studying abroad?
  • Do you need a language skills certificate?

CBS and Studieskolen have arranged a language assessment test which you can take before you apply for a place in a study exchange programme or acceptance into the CEMS programme. You can take this test in Spanish, French and German.

If you need an English test, you have to take a TOEFL test - click here.

If you wish to study abroad, you are usually required to be at least at level B2 in order to apply for a study exchange programme. You can see the requirements of each university here.

If you are applying for the CEMS programme, the minimum language requirement is level B1 in both writing and in speaking.

The levels are defined by the Common European Framework of Reference.

Please note that the test is only offered to CBS students.

About the language test
The test consists of two parts: a written test and an oral test.

The written test is divided into two parts. A listening test and a written test.
The test is paper-based.

The written test lasts 90 minutes.

The oral part of the test lasts 20 minutes. There is no preparation time, and the test is conducted without reference aids. You will take the oral test with another candidate.
The highest achievable score is 60 points. You need 25 points to be assessed at the B1 level, 36 points to be at the B2 level and 54 points to be at level C1.
