On Friday 26 September, our building in Borgergade was packed. Almost 100 of our students showed up to our Language Partner Café, and very soon the room was buzzing with voices, smiles and interesting conversations in Danish, Italian and Spanish.
It became an afternoon where people met across languages – and across ages and nationalities.
Our teachers created a safe and welcoming atmosphere with fun activities that sparked lively conversations. We paired Danes learning Italian or Spanish with Italian or Spanish speakers learning Danish.

Everyone left richer for the experience – and many took even more home with them: they found a language partner they could meet again. A new friend to share a coffee with, someone to practise conversations with – a person who can open doors to both language and culture.
Every year, thousands of people learn languages with us at Studieskolen. We are passionate about making encounters between languages and cultures smooth and successful – and our Language Partner Café is a wonderful example of how language can be the key to learning, community and new friendships.
