Hans recommends:
Are there one or more places you can recommend visiting in or outside Copenhagen?

"Apart from being a lovely city, Copenhagen has the advantage of also having beautiful landscapes and attractive nature nearby. We are not talking about true wilderness, but even less can be quite enjoyable.

If you are up for an hour or two of transport – by car or by train and bus – it is worth taking a trip to Møns or Stevns Klint, or to the peninsula Røsnæs in West Zealand, or perhaps even across the Øresund to Skåne, where for example Kullens cliffs and Fyledalen are great excursion destinations.

You can also take a pleasant bike ride along Strandvejen and have a picnic in Dyrehaven north of the city.

My own preferred cycling destination is Kalvebod Fælled, a large, flat area on the western part of Amager, which was reclaimed during World War II and was for many years a closed military area. Now, apart from a bird reserve, it is open to everyone, and there is a fine network of paths for both cyclists and pedestrians. Especially in spring and autumn, there are many birds on the meadows, not least tens of thousands of ubiquitous barnacle geese.
Kalvebod Fælled also offers something as rare in Denmark as two self-sown birch forests, which are largely left to their own devices and have gradually reached a considerable height with a real primeval forest atmosphere.

I have bought an electric bike myself, so I can easily and at least once a week get out to the Fælled and follow the changing seasons. If I have just half an hour to spare, I like to take a trip to Frederiksberg Have."

Tinne Nielsen

Tinne recommends:
Can you recommend a special place or activity in Copenhagen

"I would recommend a bike ride to experience the new and old Copenhagen.
In Copenhagen, new neighborhoods are being established, which I think are exciting to compare with the old neighborhoods to be inspired by architecture, environment and opportunities.
My suggestion is to start the cycle tour in Carlsberg Byen, which is located on the site where the Carlsberg brewery was located. You can then cycle through part of Vesterbro down to Fisketorvet and over the bridge to Islands Brygge, which was an industrial port, but which today is primarily a recreational area with cafes and eateries.
When you cycle along the water, you come to Christianshavn, an old district from the 17th century.
If you continue cycling along the water, you will reach Refshaleøen. On Refshaleøen there are new residential areas, restaurants and concert venues.
Finally, you can cycle to the Opera, which opened in 2005, and take the Harbour Bus to Nyhavn.
Have a nice trip!"
