Udtaleværksted
Ønsker du at styrke din danske udtale?

Hans recommends:
Are there one or more places you can recommend visiting in or outside Copenhagen?

"Apart from being a lovely city, Copenhagen has the advantage of also having beautiful landscapes and attractive nature nearby. We are not talking about true wilderness, but even less can be quite enjoyable.

If you are up for an hour or two of transport – by car or by train and bus – it is worth taking a trip to Møns or Stevns Klint, or to the peninsula Røsnæs in West Zealand, or perhaps even across the Øresund to Skåne, where for example Kullens cliffs and Fyledalen are great excursion destinations.

You can also take a pleasant bike ride along Strandvejen and have a picnic in Dyrehaven north of the city.

My own preferred cycling destination is Kalvebod Fælled, a large, flat area on the western part of Amager, which was reclaimed during World War II and was for many years a closed military area. Now, apart from a bird reserve, it is open to everyone, and there is a fine network of paths for both cyclists and pedestrians. Especially in spring and autumn, there are many birds on the meadows, not least tens of thousands of ubiquitous barnacle geese.
Kalvebod Fælled also offers something as rare in Denmark as two self-sown birch forests, which are largely left to their own devices and have gradually reached a considerable height with a real primeval forest atmosphere.

I have bought an electric bike myself, so I can easily and at least once a week get out to the Fælled and follow the changing seasons. If I have just half an hour to spare, I like to take a trip to Frederiksberg Have."

Bettina Nielsen

Bettina recommends:

Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
"One of my favourite places in Copenhagen is the garden at Designmuseum Danmark. The museum is located at Bredgade 68, not far from the premises of Studieskolen on Borgergade.

The museum is housed in an elegant rococo building from the 1750s, which was formerly a hospital. The garden is situated in the inner courtyard and was designed as a green and healing oasis. Today, it remains a beautiful and peaceful garden that is in the heart of the city, yet far from the city's noise. It's a lovely place to take a break.

You don't need to purchase a ticket for the museum to visit the garden. There is free access during the museum's opening hours. From one corner of the garden, you can access the museum's café, and if you're interested in Danish and international industrial design, decorative arts and crafts, the museum is also worth a visit."
