“If you jump on a train, you can be in Jutland within a fairly short time. Here, I recommend Silkeborg and the lakes around that town. It’s not exactly close to Copenhagen, but nonetheless, it is worth the trip.
Almindsø is one of the cleanest lakes in Denmark and it has wonderful bathing facilities. Summer is a great time to go on a road trip and have a dip.
Especially Vesterbad, where you walk through the beech forest before reaching the lake, is a wonderful gem.

“A Danish musician… hmm. Can’t we just pretend that Nick Cave’s Danish?
Otherwise, I recommend Mew. Not least their songs ‘Comforting Sounds’ and ‘Special’.
Those tracks have a unique atmosphere, I think. And for some reason, they also remind me of summer. Perhaps because of the music video for ‘Special’. Watch it – perhaps you’ll agree.”
