Stina Kristensen

We have asked our teachers to recommend a place in or outside Copenhagen. It could also be a building or a street. This is what Stina recommends.

What are your favourite places in and outside of Copenhagen?
"My favourite place in Copenhagen is the Glyptotek. I have always been interested in ancient Greece and for many years have taught the subject "ancient studies", which specifically deals with this period.
At the Glyptotek, in addition to the Nordics' largest collection of antiques, you will also find French masterpieces and a fantastic collection of Danish Golden Age art.
On top of that, there are giant palm trees in the conservatory and a good coffee at Café Picnic. And then there is free entry to the museum on the last Wednesday of the month.

Outside of Copenhagen, I am particularly excited about the Søren Kierkegaard trail in Gilleleje. You walk on high slopes along narrow paths with a view of the sea and at one point reach the stone with the wonderful Kierkegaard quote: "What is truth but a life for an idea.""
