Udtaleværksted
Ønsker du at styrke din danske udtale?

Elena Eriksen

Elena recommends:
Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
”I am very fond of Copenhagen. I think it is a city full of hygge, especially in the summer when there is a lot of outdoor seating in restaurants, cafes and bars, and you can sit outside until late at night. However, my favourite place in Copenhagen is Kastellet. It is a very romantic place that still has a moat and an old mill. You can go for a walk there with your sweetheart or your friends. Since the old days, Copenhageners have the tradition of walking on the moat with ‘perle’ (pearl, i.e. sweetheart) on the evening before the holiday of ‘store bededag’ and eating warm cardamom buns (‘hveder’) afterwards.”

Who are your favourite Danish musicians?
”There is a lot of Danish music that is really good, musically, rhythmically and lyrically. I like Tim Christensen from Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. But also female singers, such as Kira Skov and Annisette Koppel, sing really well. There are lots of music festivals in Denmark, particularly in the summer, such as Copenhagen Jazz Festival in July, where you can hear a lot of very skilled musicians again and again. One of my favourite music venues is Jazzhus Montmartre. It is actually very close to Studieskolen in Borgergade. You can eat, drink and listen to music there.”

Sune Rask

Sune recommends:
Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
”My favourite place in Copenhagen is the wine bar Veranda on Griffenfeldsgade in Nørrebro. Besides the cosy atmosphere, the staff is always ready to help you find the perfect bottle of wine.
In the wintertime, I recommend visiting the Glyptotek. You can sit in their garden in a Mediterranean climate and forget the cold Danish winter for a while.”

Who is your favourite Danish writer?
”My favourite writer is Dan Turéll. He was a very productive writer who wrote more than 80 books and wrote poems, short stories and whodunnits as well as novels. Turéll (along with fellow writer Peter Laugesen) is often mentioned as an exponent of the Beat Generation in Denmark.”
