Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
”I live outside Copenhagen myself, and when I go for a walk in Copenhagen with friends and family, I get the experience of a particularly beautiful and historic city with a cosy and nostalgic atmosphere. Nyhavn and Langelinie are some of my absolute favourite places in Copenhagen that are worth visiting in the summertime. Strøget, one of Europe’s longest pedestrian streets, is another place I like to go for a walk – it gives me an authentic and colourful experience of central Copenhagen.”

Snezana Mosegaard

Snezana recommends:
Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
”Copenhagen has everything that attracts my soul: Culture, nature and history, and I have many favourite places. In the winter, I love seeing theatre performances at Skuespilhuset by Kvæsthusbroen, visiting the Glyptotek and SMK (the National Gallery of Denmark) or just wandering through the small cobbled streets in Central Copenhagen or on Christianshavn.
In the summer, I am drawn to nature and outdoor life. I live on Amager, so my walks and bike rides usually go to Amager Strand or Amager Fælled, two unique places with lots of water, forest and birdlife where I come simply to take a deep breath all the way down to my stomach.
Christianshavns Vold is high on my list any time of the year. It is a green area that is more than 350 years old. You can take a walk along the canal and enjoy the view of the water, swans, grey herons and blue tits, all the while, on the opposite side, you can observe elements of urban Copenhagen such as the SAS hotel, a couple of modern ”intelligent” buildings and city buses whizzing by. I am very fond of the contrasts between old and new which you can find many places in Copenhagen. I think that it adds a certain charm to the city.
However, if I have to pick just one place, then my absolute favourite is the iconic tower of Vor Frelsers Kirke (Our Saviour’s Church). After going up 400 steps, you are met by an unforgettable and impressive view over the city’s rooftops and Copenhagen in all its beauty.
If you are fond of heights and the city’s rooftops like I am, I also have to other places that I warmly recommend: The café at Illum Rooftop on Strøget and the roof terrace at the Glyptotek.”

What’s your favourite kind of music?
”I love listening to all kinds of music: classical, pop, rock and jazz, but I am also a huge fan of old songs and music from old films. Here are some of them. Check them out. Maybe you’ll like them too.”
