Do you have a favourite place in Copenhagen?
”I live in Copenhagen NV. I love this city full of people, fun and mischief. My favourite place in Copenhagen is Blågårdsgade on Nørrebro. This is a place where you can feel at home whoever you are and wherever you’re from. You can spend an entire afternoon in one of its many cafes without buying anything more than a cheap cup of coffee and plenty of refills and chat with the many regulars, artists and men and women of the world who frequently visit this street. If you have just arrived in Copenhagen, then this is the place where it is easiest to find a new friend, a new job, a new place to live, a new bike – or whatever you might need.”
Do you have a favourite place in the rest of Denmark?
”My favourite place outside of Copenhagen is the cinema Øst for Paradis in my hometown of Aarhus. This is the place to see films that are so strange you had no idea they even existed. Enjoy the unique atmosphere built through decades by people passionate about creating a different kind of cinema that prioritises art and outstanding experiences.”
Who is your favourite Danish writer?
”One of my favourite Danish writers is Kristian Bang Foss, because he is wildly fun to read. He also picks protagonists that tend to be underrepresented in most art and culture, such as the early retiree Waldemar in ’Døden kører Audi’, and makes us laugh and cry with them.”

We have asked our teachers to recommend a place, some Danish music or a Danish artist. It could also be a building or a street. This is what Sara recommends.
