"I really love Copenhagen’s harbour. Especially in the summer, when you can go for an early morning swim before all the other harbour traffic starts. Or you can rent a GoBoat on a beautiful afternoon and take a small trip through the canals with your friends or family.
I was a member of Copenhagen’s rowing club for 10 years, and the very best trips were the ones where we rowed out at 7 am on a calm morning and watched the city wake up."
Can you recommend a place outside of Copenhagen that’s easy to get to?
"I recently discovered a cosy little village outside of Copenhagen called Pederstrup. You can bring your bike on the S-train to Ballerup and from there, cycle along a nice bike path by the tracks for 10 minutes – then you arrive in Pederstrup.
There’s a village pond and old, thatched houses – and a café where you can buy ice cream, cake, and other nice treats. It’s a really lovely day trip. I discovered it because I was offered a plot in a community garden in Pederstrup – so now I have my very first garden!"
