The conventional wisdom is that every international employee in Denmark should learn Danish – but is that really true? And does it make good business sense for Danish companies to invest in Danish language classes for their staff? Kay Xander Mellish, author of the books “How to Live in Denmark” and “How to Work in Denmark”, will look at both sides of the question on October 28 at Studieskolen. An American who has lived in Denmark for more than a decade and has since become a Danish dual citizen, Kay will talk about her own journey to learn Danish and some of the challenges and rewards that come from learning this difficult-to-pronounce tongue.
Kay's talk will be in Danish, and there will be plenty of time for debate afterwards. We hope that you will join in - you are welcome to comment and ask questions in Danish as well as English.
