Start speaking Spanish more fluently. Join our class in EnglishIf you already speak some Spanish and would like to learn more, then this is the course for you. It is taught in English, so you do not need to speak any Danish. On this course, you start being able to use the language more fluently and to look closer at the details and nuances of Spanish and Spanish-speaking language and culture.
On the course, you will learn to
- describe various objects in detail, such as telephones, bags, shoes and lamps. Both in terms of what they look like, what they can be used for, and where they are located in a room
- describe typical types of housing such as houses and flats in the city as well as exotic kinds of houses
- talk about the things we have in our homes, such as furniture
- discuss what you value when shopping and your attitude to consumption
- describe things that happened to you at specific moments in your life – for example during your school years or in any other important period of your life
We will also review vocabulary and grammar from the beginners’ course. You will feel more confident when you realise how much you already know. You will learn new grammar too, such as how to use past tenses in Spanish. In particular, we will focus on the second past tense: pretérito indefinido.
We will cover Spanish-speaking culture by talking about four brave women and a young athlete who have all made a difference to society through their work. You will also learn more about the great Chilean poet and Nobel Prize winner Pablo Neruda and the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso.
Further more we will talk about shopping habits in different countries around the world and among different Spanish-speaking people, and what we have in common with them.
More fluent and interesting conversations in Spanish
As always at Studieskolen, our focus is on you speaking the language. We speak Spanish whenever possible, and now that you are at pre-intermediate level, you can already say a lot in Spanish.
When you have conversations in small groups, you will probably be pleasantly surprised at how good you have become at speaking Spanish. You may find that your conversations feel less like being in a classroom, and more like talking to a friend at a café.
